Black Letter combines the talents of an illustrator and calligrapher to produce unique, handcrafted pieces of artwork.
Phil and Tamara Pleasant, are a husband and wife team. Phil has a degree in illustration and graphic design and over 20 years experience in teaching and producing art. He has a particular interest in relief printing and the use of gold leaf in design.
Tamara has created calligraphy pieces for both commercial and private clients for nearly 20 years - and, in recent years, replica written work for the heritage industry. She specialises in all types of uncial, carolingian and gothic script.
Black Letter currently offer three types of work -
